Apple is looking to upgrade their Macbook Pro’s and there is a really good chance we will be seeing ultra high-resolution “Retina” or “HiDPI” in the next update, but at what price can they get the retina display and how will it affect the price of the line up. So let’s examine the prices for retina displays. A retina 15.4-inch display at 2880x1800 can cost Apple $159. The current displays for Apple macbook pro’s (more…)

United States customs are currently holding back the HTC One X and Evo 4G due to some patent issues that Apple recently raised. A while back the International Trade Commission was in favour of Apple and ordered a ban on HTC products until April 19 2012. This would give the corporation some time to fix their phones and software, but now Apple has raised the issue once more that they are breaking their patent of “data tapping”. (more…)

The Macbook pro is in need of an update because the last update for it was the Thunderbolt integrated with the Macbook’s. As we approached the WWDC conference (June 11) we can expect some new model announced for the Macbook Pro line of computers. Supposedly this information was purposely leaked by Apple, but this information seems plausible to an extent with the other rumours.
The first update that we can expect to happen is a thinner body for the macbook pro. This would decrease it overall weight and base height. If this was to happen then we can definitely expect to see flash memory which should extend the battery life of the laptop as well. This might be a positive change because the last time the case was redesigned was in 2008.
The last update which may or may not happen are Retina displays. These are currently used in the iPads and mobile devices but I don’t expect them to exist in the next update of the computer. Why? Because Apple may not be able to provide the battery life required by high-pixel-density screens such as the Retina Display.
The conference isn’t that far away now and we can definetly expect to see large changes happen to their computer line up.

After months of waiting Samsung has finally began sending out invitation for their potential Samsung Galaxy S3. This event has been recently confirmed by Samsung and the invitation is the picture above. This could be the next biggest thing for the Android fans. This event will take place on May 3 in London.
The phone was previously rumoured to come out in March but kept being postponed. Leaks have been suggested that the device will feature a 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display and the company’s own quad-core Exynos Processor which could clock better speeds than Apple’s A5 chip. We can also predict that the phones resolution will be upgraded from its predecessor and will come with Android Ice Cream sandwich.

Apple just released Java for OS X 2012-003 for the the most common varieties of the flashback virus which was spreading across Apple computers. This update will fix the problem and patch the mistake that allowed this virus to exist in the first place.

It has come across our mind at some point. Will the age of a desktop computer be eliminated. With new Quad-core Android phones, tablets, and laptops becoming more powerful and more advanced operating system they will be stiffer competition for the desktop computers.
Being able to pack up what your working on and take it with you, has caught on to the technology world like wildfire. With our lives being so busy now a days it only makes sense to have a mobile device, we can pretty much do everything that we can on a a desktop, on our phone or tablet. Granted the exception of gaming which in my opinion will never be watched by mobile devices, desktop computers will always have an upper hand in the field. With their larger amount of space available processors will always be faster and more powerful, their is also less chance of the risk of overheating. Being able to customize your desktop hardware by installing fans and different components the computer can be customized to your own capabilities, whether that be gaming, or just web browsing. Will the desktop computer be eliminated indefinitely, only time will tell.
